Module testing
A module leaving the factory must do what it is supposed to do. No assumptions, no guesswork. Testing is the only way to know for certain.
At Simac Masic we do not only test our own inspection systems. We also test modules and subassemblies for clients who want to know whether their product performs as designed, before it reaches the end customer or goes into production. Our test infrastructure, built in service of our own high quality standards, is also available to clients who need independent testing capacity.
What we test
Our testing capacity is focused on mechanical, electromechanical and optical systems and modules. We carry out, among others, the following tests:
Functional test
Verifies whether a module or system correctly performs its specified functions. Every relevant operational condition is simulated and assessed. The result is a functional verdict based on objective criteria.
Performance tests
Measurement of throughput speed, accuracy, repeatability and stability under controlled conditions. For inspection systems this specifically includes detection accuracy: do we detect what we need to detect, and do we not reject what is correct?
Calibration
Our measurement room and calibration lab are equipped for precise calibration of optical and mechanical components and systems. Calibration is essential for systems deployed in regulated environments, where measurements must be traceable.
Endurance and durability tests
For critical components we simulate prolonged use under production conditions. This makes wear patterns, drift behaviour and long-term performance visible before the system goes live.
Acceptance tests
FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) are formal test moments where clients jointly verify with us that the system meets its specifications. We guide both test phases, provide the test protocols and deliver the associated documentation.
Testing in regulated environments
For clients in the pharmaceutical and medical industry, test processes must be demonstrable and traceable. We draw up test protocols in accordance with IQ/OQ/PQ requirements and deliver test reports that can be used as part of the validation dossier. Our engineers are familiar with the documentation requirements in GMP environments.
Why testing at Simac Masic
Testing and building are one continuous process with us. Those who assemble with us can move directly into the testing phase without a handover to another party. That saves time and prevents miscommunication. But clients who produce or assemble elsewhere are also welcome to use our independent testing capacity and calibration services.
