At Simac Masic we build systems that see what the human eye misses. Automated visual inspection and product handling for manufacturers who have no room for errors. And we don’t do it alone. Every system is developed in close collaboration with our clients. We know their process, they know our approach. Together we arrive at solutions that work. Not on paper, but on the shop floor.
With approximately 50 people, we work from Heerlen (the Netherlands) for clients across Europe, the United States, and Japan, among others. We are part of the Simac Group, a family business with more than 1,300 employees. That means: the capacity of a large organisation, but short lines and a consistent point of contact. We don’t have endless alignment rounds, but we do have people who know you by name.

One defect in a pharmaceutical component can render an entire batch unusable. One error in a medical device can affect a patient. That is the world our clients work in, and therefore the world we work in too.
We believe that technology only has real value when you can rely on it blindly. That is our drive: Eye for Perfection. Not as a slogan, but as a working attitude. It runs through our entire process: from the first design to the final delivery. And even after that, we take responsibility for what we have built together.
Our history
More than thirty years ago we started with test systems for the semiconductor market. Today we are one of the few companies in the world that masters the complete chain of visual inspection and product handling. That didn’t happen by itself.
The beginning
Simac acquires Bazelmans Products International and establishes Masic. At the same time, Simac WIA is founded, specialising in industrial automation.
First inspection systems
As a European partner of PPT Vision, we jointly deliver the first complete visual inspection systems to the automotive industry.
Simac Masic is born
Masic and Simac WIA merge. Vision and automation come together under one roof.
In-house manufacturing
With the acquisition of TSS (formerly Philips), we gain our own mechanical manufacturing and assembly capacity.
Choosing pharma
We shift our course towards the pharmaceutical and medical industry. The focus on inspection of primary packaging components proves to be a turning point.
One name
We continue as Simac Masic. The name reflects what we have become: active worldwide in automated visual inspection.
Beyond pharma
We expand into high-end industrial production environments. Our knowledge of vision and handling proves its value there too.
Ready for the future
We relocate to our new premises, a new home that matches our ambitions and is ready for the future.

Advanced vision technology and AI analyse every image and detect complex deviations at high speed. Combined with decades of software expertise, this integrated approach makes Simac Masic unique.
Standard as a base, custom when needed
We have developed a number of platforms including the iM, iX, iR, iF and iH. Proven technology, quickly deployable and flexible enough to adapt to specific requirements.
Beyond our platforms, we build systems fully to order. Drawing on the same knowledge, but tailored to the unique challenge of the client. And sometimes such a custom solution grows into a new standard platform.
